The Masterton Club held its International Speech and Evaluation Contests in February and WOW hosted the Area J6 Contest at Greytown Little Theatre on March 2nd.

Unfortunately due to a technical hitch (eupemism for blunder), we don't have any pictures from the Masterton Club contest. However, the results follow.

Masterton Xmas Party 2013

The club agreed we'd have a private BBQ with members bringing an assigned plate and chipping in for the meat etc to be cooked on the BBQ.

Masterton Club Debate and Scouts Speeches

Masterton Club held an impromptu debate as a replacement for Table Topics in its 1st October meeting. The rules for the upcoming Weliington Great Debate were followed.

Masterton Club Table Topics and Humorous Speech contests held

Masterton Club held the annual Table Topics (impromptu speech) and Humorous Seech contests. There was a great turnout in the Table Topics contest with nine contestants, including Val from the WOW club.

Toastmasters Judge Wairarapa Inter-Collegiate Speech Competition

On Wednesday 28th August Wairarapa Toastmasters convened at Makoura College to judge the Year 9, Year 10 and Senior Speech Competitions.

Masterton Club - Evaluation Contest - February 2013

Each year, an Evaluation Contest is held in the club and the 1st and 2nd place getters compete against members from other clubs in our area (Wairarapa and Hutt Valley).

Masterton club achieves 4 goals

Masterton Toastmasters club achieved 4 goals on the Distinguished Club Programme:

  • Goal 3 - 1 Advanced Communicator
  • Goal 7 - 4 new members
  • Goal 8 - 4 more new members
  • Goal 10 - Club officer lists and Renewals submitted on time
